MG Motor India is all set to expand its premium SUV portfolio with the upcoming MG Majestor, which will officially debut in the Indian market on February 12, 2026. Positioned above the MG Gloster, the Majestor will become the brand’s new flagship three-row ICE SUV, aimed squarely at established rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq.
The MG Majestor was first showcased in concept form at the 2025 Auto Expo, and recent teasers have confirmed that the production version will retain much of its bold and imposing design. At the front, the SUV features a large and upright grille, flanked by vertically stacked LED headlights and distinctive L-shaped daytime running lights. The overall design is rugged and boxy, reinforcing its presence in the full-size SUV segment. Adding to its road presence are 19-inch alloy wheels, which further enhance its premium appeal.
Industry sources suggest that the Majestor can be seen as a more luxurious and heavily updated version of the MG Gloster, rather than an entirely new model. However, MG appears to be positioning it as a clear step above the Gloster in terms of design, features, and overall brand image. The SUV is expected to focus on comfort, performance, and advanced technology, catering to buyers looking for a premium family SUV with strong road presence.
In terms of pricing, the MG Majestor is expected to be priced between ₹37 lakh and ₹40 lakh (ex-showroom). This places it directly in competition with popular full-size SUVs in India, particularly the Toyota Fortuner, which continues to dominate the segment. With aggressive pricing and feature-rich offerings, MG will be looking to attract buyers who want an alternative to the segment’s long-standing leaders.
Interestingly, the same model has already been launched in the Middle East under the name ‘MG Rakan’, indicating that the Majestor is part of MG’s global SUV strategy. Its international debut also hints at proven mechanicals and a mature platform, which could work in MG’s favor in the Indian market.
Alongside the Majestor, MG Motor India has an ambitious product roadmap for 2026. The company is expected to introduce the MG 4 EV, an electric hatchback/crossover, along with refreshed versions of the MG Hector and Hector Plus. Additionally, MG is also planning to bring the MG IM5, a premium electric sedan that could serve as a flagship EV offering.
